The 4 train is the Lexington Avenue Express. It runs from Woodlawn, Bronx along the Jerome Avenue Line. It then travels along Manhattan via the Lexington Avenue Line. In Brooklyn it travels as the Eastern Parkway Express, and terminates at Crown Heights, Utica Avenue. This service pattern occurs all times. Late nights, however, it makes all stops in the aforementioned areas and goes beyond Utica Avenue, eastward to New Lots Avenue.
