The 6 train is the Lexington Avenue Local. All times it runs via the Pelham line from Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx to Brooklyn Bridge Manhattan via the Lexington Avenue Line.

Weekdays only, special 6 trains denoted by a diamond 6 symbol run express in peak direction from Pelham Bay Park to Brooklyn Bridge with the express section between Parkchester and 3rd Avenue in the Bronx. Local 6 trains (denoted by the circle logo) begin/end at Parkchester to pick up the slack for skipped stations.

All other times, the 6 makes all stops.
